Born with a passion for art passed down through his family, and particularly inspired by his mother's enthusiasm for tattoos and art in general, Mirko Campagna has carved a path in the artistic world that has taken him from graphic design to tattooing, with forays into painting and video production along the way. An Italian by birth, he is currently based in Sydney, Australia, where his artistic journey officially began with a diploma in Graphic Design.

 

His career has spanned multiple facets of artistic expression. He started as a graphic designer, delving into the depths of painting and video making, before fully immersing himself in the world of tattooing in 2014. His specialization in black and grey realism does not limit his versatility; he possesses the skills to execute almost any type of work or cover-up, showcasing an exceptional range of artistic abilities. During his school years, he had the privilege of learning under the wing of a great Italian artist of Sicilian origin, Rosolino Mendola, who not only introduced him to the world of art and graphic design but also nurtured his passion for painting and opened his mind to new creative possibilities. This formative experience has indelibly marked his artistic path.

 

His professional experience includes a period as an "Art" in a graphic agency located on Via Torino in Milan, where his graphic works gained recognition and were published in the inserts of "Corriere della Sera" of Milan. However, it was in 2014 that he decided to devote himself heart and soul to his greatest passion: tattooing. This choice not only defined his career but has become a true way of life. Alongside tattooing, he continues to express his creative vision through painting, exploring various mediums and techniques to bring his artistic ideas to life. His art in tattooing reflects his creativity, experience, and precision, leaving every client proud to carry a unique piece of their story on their skin, transformed into ink.

 

His vision is to create works that are not only aesthetically pleasing but that also tell a story, an emotion, a memory.
